History of Casa Saveri
I'm Franco Saveri and I own Casa Saveri together with my sister Adriana.
Casa Saveri was our parents' refuge, who, deeply in love with Lauco's plateau, decided to leave Udine and move to the beautiful Allegnidis' hamlet. Here they lovingly built their home, furnishing it with great attention to detail and respect for Carnia's traditions.
In 2020, after my more than thirty-year career with the Consorzio Agrario (agricultural consortium) ended, I decided to seek a simpler lifestyle, closer to nature. So, I moved here to Allegnidis with my elderly parents, offering them my closeness and assistance. I started cultivating a small field behind the house where I still grow various vegetables, primarily potatoes, and marigolds for family use.
In 2023 we open up our spacious and beautiful house to those who wished to stay here, and in memory of our parents, who passed away in 2021, we named it Casa Saveri.
Since early 2024, you'll also be greeted by Ollie, a joyful and exuberant Border Collie who won't "invade" your space.
